Kimicata Brothers Inc. has been servicing the greater Pittsburgh area since 1929. We started as a landscape maintenance company. Through hard work, reliable service and four generations, we have grown into a full service landscape design build, maintenance and irrigation company. Our expert staff of trained professionals pride ourselves on our commitment to exceed your expectations. So when you make a purchase, the results are only as good as the professionals performing the work and their commitment to quality service after the sale.

Check out Paul Kimicata's interview, The Importance Of an Irrigation System on Pennsylvania Homes, one of the top sites for Pennsylvania homes for sale, including Downingtown, PA real estate. Pennsylvania Homes also services Connecticut homes for sale and North Carolina homes for sale.

We are having a great year and wanted to show how Kimicata Brother's approaches Landscaping Projects.

Landscape Industry Certified is an internationally recognized certification that requires the candidate to pass a written test and a timed hands on test. Having landscape certified staff demonstrates our dedication to professionalism and distinguishes our company above others.

We are a Pennsylvania licensed Nursery dealer. This verifies that all plants have been inspected & certified to be pest & disease free. We also have commercial certified pesticide applicators on staff. They must pass three written tests.  One core test for the safe handling & use of pesticides.  The second test is for treating ornamental plants and shade tree and the third is for lawn and turf.  In addition, to renew their license every 3 years the applicator has to attend 26 hours of update trainning.

PA preferred ensures that Pennsylvanians are supporting fellow Pennsylvanians by purchasing products grown or made in Pennsylvania.

concreteOur employees responsible for the paver and segmental wall  designs and installations are certified by the National Concrete Masonry Association  to have knowledge of advanced principles and recommended residential and small commercial installation guidelines.  This involves class room education and passing a test for these principles.

Our president Paul Kimicata is on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association.   This demonstrates our commitment to the Pennsylvania green industry, professionalism, provides the corridor for certifications and keeps us on the leading edge of trends in the industry.  Also we are a 2013 award winner with the PLNA Awards For Landscape Excellence for residential hardscapes.

We have on staff a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) has proven their broad knowledge in horticulture by passing a four part exam that tests their expertise of plant growth and maintenance, landscape design and installation and retail operations in order to receive the PCH designation.  Maintenance of that certification is also required which exemplifies these individuals commitment to professionalism, the industry and their willingness to stay in tune with current developments through continuing education.

“They were easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. The crew was prompt and professional. The property looked very nice when they were done.”  – J.B.
